Flagler Museum Kicked Off New Program Series in Collaboration With Local Chef, Loxahatchee Groves Farm

The glorious West Room at the Henry Morrison Flagler Museum (1 Whitehall Way, Palm Beach) was the breathtaking yet warm setting for the sold out culinary event, Swank Farm presents Florida’s Fall Harvest at the Flagler Museum. The 5-course dinner was the first in a new series of programs at the museum inspired by the return of Whitehall’s original Dining Room furniture suite. Called Together, at the Table, the series focuses on dining practices, cultural foodways, and culinary traditions relevant to Florida history.

On November 18th, more than 70 guests enjoyed delicious fare grown, harvested or caught locally, and prepared by globally-renowned chef Pushkar Marathe, the owner of Stage Kitchen in Palm Beach Gardens. On the menu Florida Corn Chaat with cilantro mint chutney and tamarind, Mushroom Karanji dusted with truffle, Grilled Local Swordfish fresh caught off the coast just days before the event, and Smoked Pork Shank “Sorpotel” with Kashmiri Chili. Each course was paired with wine from California, Burgundy, and Chile, including the Pumpkin Cheesecake dessert. The evening, which began with a welcome drink in the Grand Hall, was a collaboration with, Swank Farm, a 20-acre hydroponic and sustainable farm in Loxahatchee Groves.
